Overview for the Sokkia DX 101AC 1 Second Motorized Total Station
The Sokkia DX-101AC Motorized Total Station will transform the way you survey, allowing you to confidently perform complex measurement tasks quickly and with an accuracy of only 1-second. Surveying professionals will enjoy the enhanced productivity gained with Sokkia's new Direct Aiming technology, powerful EDM and exclusive Long Range Communication technology.
IACS, the groundbreaking advanced angle measurement system guarantees extremely reliable angle measurement, while the MAGNET on-board software makes calculating surveying and engineering measurements quick and easy. You will also appreciate the advanced security provided by TSshield, the world's first Cloud-based total station management system.
In the event that the total station is lost or stolen, TsShield's online portal allows you to view its location on a map and lock or unlock the total station as needed. Receiving updates from the control panel and downloading firmware updates straight from the online portal is easier than ever. You can also use the online portal to manage each specific total station's operating time more effectively, saving you time and maintaining effeciency.
Automatic Prism Recognition
The Sokkia Motorized Survey Total Station uses Auto-Pointing technology to automatically aim the total station in the exact direction of the prism, even in dim or dark lighting conditions. By employing an intelligent algorithm, the Sokkia DX automatically collimates to the prisms and displays precise angle readings. Simply “rough aim” the total station and press the trigger button for exact measurements to your target with the best accuracy available, only 1-second!
The Sokkia DX Robotic Upgrade Kit is an auto tracking firmware upgrade for the Sokkia DX total station series. This extremely reliable auto-tracking capability enables the total station to automatically point to the prism for one-man operation and rapid measurements. It comes on a USB memory stick and can be installed at any time on any previously sold Sokkia DX-101AC total station.
Record Data at the Prism Rod
Enjoy the benefits of Long Range, the exclusive data communication technology that enables you to take accurate measurements at a distance of up to 984 feet. Long Range data communication uses Bluetooth technology to connect the total station with the data collector, allowing the operator to collect data for rod heights, as-builts and codes without returning to the total station. During stakeout, the servo motors automatically turn the total station, and with the aid of the red or green guide lights, assist in viewing the required direction for the stake point.
Fast and Powerful Distance Measurements
Sokkia's patented RED-tech technology makes it easy to take reliable and precise distance measurements. The Sokkia DX Total Station uses only one narrow beam for both the EDM and the laser pointer and boasts a measurement speed of only 0.9 seconds. Combining the EDM and laser pointer helps eliminate frustrating measurement errors while ensuring fast and accurate aiming, and the ultra-narrow beam enables you to measure to building corners, roof overhangs, manholes and other difficult locations with pinpoint accuracy.
The DX-101AC can also be used in reflectorless mode, an essential function for today's surveyor. With the ability to measure distances from as little as 12 inches to 3,280 feet, surveying and construction professionals are able to easily measure to locations that would normally be difficult or dangerous to access, such as bridges, overhead power lines or building scaffolding. Not only will job safety be improved, but you’ll save a significant amount of time and boost productivity.
If you find yourself operating the Sokka DX-101AC in locations with poor lighting, wooded areas or other problematic spots, the unique distance measuring technology keeps working hard to provide accurate data. For example, when using reflective sheets, standard total stations often mistakenly target another reflective object. Normally this requires resetting the total station and waiting for the target to be recognized. With RED-tech, however, measurement can begin again in seconds by using the auto-pointing feature to quickly find the prism and resume measurement.
MAGNET Field Software
Successful surveying also depends on superior software. The Sokkia DX features Topcon's MAGNET software, which when stored in the Cloud, enables you to access your data from any location. It also provides a seamless connection between the field and office, allowing you to exchange data, track assets or facilitate communication between numerous devices and your total station or data controller. The MAGNET software family also includes MAGNET Field, which is powerful data collector software that handles full surveying and engineering measurement functions such as stakeout, ROADS, coordinate geometry and more.
User-Friendly and Compatible with Sokkia Data Collectors
The Sokkia Surveying Total Station features a single color LCD touch screen and 26-key alphanumeric keyboard. Both are backlit for easy viewing in dim or dark lighting conditions. The Sokkia DX also includes numerous ways to store data - internally, with 500MB storage capacity or using the included 8MB USB stick for additional memory. This Sokklia total station features an IP65 rating, and not only is dust-tight but also protected against access to hazardous part and water jets at any angle.
For field operations that require a data collector, the Sokkia DX total station can be used with any of Sokkia's data collectors, such as the Juniper Mesa, SHC2500, SHC250, SHC236 and SHC25.
This Sokkia total station package includes a hard carrying case, USB memory key, two detachable and rechargeable Li-Ion batteries, a battery charger, power cable, lens cap, lens hood, lens brush, screwdriver, tool pouch, laser caution sign board, adjusting pin, cleaning cloth, carrying strap for hard case and user manual.
